Carly Briggs is from Lima, Ohio and is in her thifourthrd year at Capital. Carly is a double major in English literature and Spanish with a minor in French who loves linguistics. Aside from Recap, she is involved with ACS On Campus, Panhellenic Association, and Pi Phi Epsilon. When Carly was in high school, she had a poem published in the America Library of Poetry.
Nicky Gutierrez is a third year at Capital University and this is his third year on Recap staff. His majors are Creative Writing and Religion. He is from Akron, Ohio specifically Bath township. He was an orientation leader at Capital. He was an intern at Mentor United Methodist Church over the summer and has written and given a few sermons. He is also the current president of the Creative Writing Club and Anime Club at Capital and is part of way too many clubs/extracurriculars. He also loves Haikus!
Addie Becker is a senior who is currently undeclared, but leaning towards English professional writing and literature. She is from Cortland, Ohio. She plays basketball at Capital and is a member of SAAC. She is also an intern at the Ohio Attorney General's Office. This is Addie's third year on ReCap.
Dakota McLane is a junior from Mt. Victory, Ohio and after being published in the 2018 issue of Recap has decided to join our staff! Dakota is a creative writing major who writes mostly prose and will be a prose editor for Recap this year.
Ella Brickman is a sophomore double-major in English Literature and Creative Writing and is also planning on minoring in Spanish. She is from Chardon, Ohio (about 40 minutes from Cleveland.) This is her first year on Recap, and she is also involved in Embrace, Cru, the Catholic Student Organization, and the Creative Writing Club. When she’s not running around campus, Ella is usually binge-watching telenovelas on Netflix or trying to find time to read a book.
Kayden Hauke is a sophomore year both here at Capital University and on our team at Recap, majoring as a Bachelor of Music in Music Technology. He is from Cincinnati, Ohio, where one of his artworks was presented in the 10x10 Teen Expo at the Cincinnati Art Museum in 2018, which he is very proud of and he will be an art editor for Recap this year. Though he’s been a trumpet player for seven years and has been in various honor bands, he also ran the sound at his school’s musical, Footloose, last year, helping him realize his passion for live sound. Though he’s busy as a result of this, he still finds time to create art and write a little on the side, making short stories and pieces that appeal to emotion.
Savannah is a sophomore year English and Theatre major from Hilliard, Ohio. She is involved with Capital's Creative Writing Club and PATSO organization. She likes to read and write fiction in her free time, whenever she's not playing with any and all dogs she comes across, and could talk about musicals all day.
